The Sgian Dubh (pronounced "skee-an doo") is a ceremonial dagger worn as part of the modern Scottish Highland dress along with the kilt. It is worn tucked into the hose with only the pommel (handle) visible.

Sgian Dubhs, or black or secret dagger when translated from the Gaelic, are small ceremonial knives worn in the sock with a kilt.
